Information for Prospective Undergraduate Students

Cal State Fullerton’s 音乐学院 offers, at a surprisingly reasonable cost:

First Time Freshman Students
(Attendance at Cal State Fullerton following high school, or with few transferable units from another institution.)

  • To start the process, first file an application through 加州申请Opens in new window , and indicate music as your preferred major.

You will then get a series of emails from us.  One will ask what instrument (including voice) you intend to study.  Others will provide information about auditions and any pre-screening requirements, and tell you more about the 音乐学院, 金融援助, and other essentials.

One of the great things about CSUF is that ALL STUDENTS, regardless of whether you’re performance, 作文, 音乐的历史, 音乐教育, 爵士乐, 等., take private lessons in either voice or the instrument of your choice. ALL STUDENTS must audition either in voice or on their instrument. 

Upper Division Transfer Students
(Attending Cal State Fullerton coming from a community college, or from another four year institution.)

When you get an email from us asking for your preferred instrument/voice type, make sure you enter your primary instrument. You will then receive lots of Information about auditioning tailor-made to your area of specialization.
